At least nine shootings over Thanksgiving weekend in Chicago so far

At least nine people have been shot in the city over Thanksgiving weekend, with one of the victims seriously injured, according to Chicago police.

A 30-year-old woman was standing on the 4400 block porch of West Adams at around 11:14 p.m. when two men approached her and opened fire, officials said.

Police said the woman suffered a severe blow to her lower back and was taken to a local hospital in critical condition.

Here is the shooting incident in Tokyo.

Thursday –

  • Two men were shot at around 4:44 p.m. at Block 9000 in South Racine, police said. Both the 31-year-old man and his 27-year-old man were taken to local hospitals and were in good condition.

Wednesday –

  • At about 3:18 p.m., a 15-year-old boy was walking 200 blocks on West 37.th where he was shot in the right leg and hip. Police said he was taken to a local hospital in good condition.
  • A 17-year-old woman was shot in her right forearm around 4pm while standing on Block 6600 in South Peoria. Police said she also suffered abrasions on her abdomen. Details about her condition were not available.
  • A 22-year-old man was on the sidewalk at 1900 Block in South St. Louis when he was shot in the leg around 4:45 p.m., police said. The man was taken to a local hospital and is in good condition.
  • A 27-year-old man was shot in the hip while standing outside the 3800 block of West Wilcox around 9:19 p.m., police said. He was taken to a local hospital and is said to be in good condition.
  • At approximately 9:55 p.m., an 18-year-old man was shot by a person in a dark SUV while he was walking in the 4200 block on West Fifth Avenue. Police said the boy was taken to a local hospital and was in good condition.
  • At approximately 10:03 pm, a 14-year-old boy was standing outside 200 blocks on South Western Avenue when someone in a black sedan opened fire and hit the boy in the hand. Police said the boy was taken to a local hospital and was in good condition.
  • At approximately 11:14 p.m., at Block 4400 in West Adams, a 30-year-old woman was standing on her porch when two men opened fire and hit her in the hip. Police said she was taken to a local hospital in serious condition.
