In 1973, the American Civil Liberties Union will decide in the next few weeks whether to press a suit by former Champaign Community Relations Director Alphonso Johnson, who was fired three weeks previously, against the City of Champaign.
In 2008, Christie Clinic was moving ahead with plans to build a new campus in northwest Champaign. But unlike plans the clinic announced in 2006 and later abandoned, the new plans called for leaving the downtown clinic in use as well as building the new campus across town, Christie CEO Alan Gleghorn said.
