Calgary, Alberta — and Jonathan Towes Blackhawks coach late scratch by illness Thursday with Flames Luke Richardson I shuffled all four forward lines in my warmup.

And all four lines scored in the 5-1 Hawks win.

“If all four lines, all six ‘D’s, and goalkeepers are calm and drawn into playing together, we are at our best. ” Jason Dickinson Said.

Richardson added: We really skated from start to finish. ”

Dickinson moved to the center of the first line and scored a beautiful goal with a near-leg shot. Max Domi Dropped to second line center role for Touse and scored an assist taylor radishis the goal.

Sam Lafferty extended his red-hot stretch with a tap-in from the feed from Colin Blackwell, came within inches until he scored a few times himself.their line Mackenzie Entwistle was particularly dominant.

“You don’t really get swooping on a line like that,” Richardson said. “They go through you [and] I played my body defensively and was happy to see them pay off.

Boris Kachukhis first appearance since January 3, scored on the fourth line — a recent call-up goal Luke Phillip scored his first NHL points.defense man connor murphy Also hit the air net.

All of these changes didn’t take place until around 4:30pm local time. The Hawks were running a completely different line in the morning’s skate. But it didn’t seem to matter.

goalie Jackson Staubermeanwhile, remained undefeated by saving 34 of 35 shots, including 18 of 18 shots in the third period, through the first two starts of his blossoming NHL career.

“[Stauber] “He did a really good job covering Puck-up when he needed it,” said Blackwell. You did a really good job helping ‘D’ break the pack.”

The Hawks’ January win streak, which was written off after two previous losses, is apparently not quite over yet. They’ll be in Saturday’s matchup against the Oilers—the last before the bye week—and have won seven of their last 10 games.

Chasing Kane

Patrick Kane Scored 1 assist — set up a goal for Dickinson — and 2 shots on goal Thursday.

The latter category has recently been scrutinized. That’s because he went into back-to-back games last weekend (against the Blues and Kings) with his 0 shots, just for the second time in his career.

“[We’ve been] chasing a lot of pucks [having] A lot of puck possessions,” Kane said Thursday. “When we have it, we can do a better job sticking with it.”

The only other instance was December 2010, which shouldn’t really be counted. He was injured 23 seconds after him in the first game, and the second game came three weeks after him.

He’s been saying he needs more possession since November, but he hasn’t solved the problem. It is reflected in his production. He is on pace to finish with 56 points in 77 games this season, down from his 92 points last year.

Given the composition of this Hawks team, it might not really work out. But he had no choice but to keep trying and played well on Thursday – he could easily have scored two or three points.

“This year has not been a great year production-wise. It’s certainly a shame,” he said. “You get used to playing with certain guys [in] 2 years, 3 years, 4 years and constant style. It’s sudden, but it’s different. It doesn’t get worse or better. It’s just different.

“You have to learn how to go to the right area and how to be in the right place for your teammates. there were”
