Microsoft is set to make a big announcement about the future of artificial intelligence on Tuesday. Ahead of the announcement, CEO Satya Nadella spoke with “CBS Morning” co-host Tony Dukpil about the company’s plans and how they might affect the way we live and work. We talked.
“What would you say to viewers who are worried that what you are building may grow the economy but disrupt work and life in unpredictable ways?”
“First of all, that’s a great point,” Nadella said. It has to be edited and approved by someone.”
“And… do you think it will create more jobs than necessary?” asked Dokpil.
“I believe it will produce more. I call it both current job and net new job satisfaction,” Nadella said.
He said he could raise his salary.
Microsoft is pour billions of dollars into artificial intelligenceLast month, the company announced that it was investing “several years and billions of dollars” in OpenAI, the AI research firm behind ChatGPT. This will allow Microsoft to better compete with Google in commercializing new AI breakthroughs.
Details of the announcement will be revealed at an event at the company’s Redmond headquarters on Tuesday afternoon.
