Afternoon briefing: Judge finds ‘sufficient reasons’ to consider Heather Mack dangerous

Chicago native Heather Mack has been in prison since her mother’s beaten body was found packed in a suitcase at a Bali resort where she was vacationing about eight and a half years ago. .

U.S. District Judge Matthew Kennelly today after an emotional hearing after seeing relatives of murdered mother Sheila von Wiese-Mac pleaded with the judge to keep her in custody. , rejected Mack’s request for release.
