A Chicago man was accused of fatally shooting a flower delivery worker in Oakland, California this month.

Eric Locelvira, 22, was arrested on a warrant Thursday at his home on the 4100 block of North Narragansett Avenue in the Dunning neighborhood, according to Chicago Police spokeswoman Kellie Bartoli.

He is accused of murder.

Oakland Police said Locelvira was wanted in the June 21 killing of Matheus Gaidos.

“There was some kind of altercation,” Oakland Police spokesman Paul Chambers said.

Oakland Police had released surveillance photos of Locelvira and a woman, but she was later released and not charged.
