A carry-on holder was fatally shot by an intruder with his own gun at his Far South Side home.


A concealed carry-on holder was shot dead Wednesday morning with his own gun by an intruder inside a home in Burnside on the Far South Side, police said.

The 22-year-old woman was at her home on Block 9400 South St. Lawrence Avenue when another woman walked in and the two started arguing just before 3:20 a.m., according to Chicago police.

An intruder snatched a gun from a 22-year-old woman and shot her in the chest, police said. Police said she was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where she died.

Another woman fled the scene. No one was detained.
