A man was shot dead around Garfield Park on Friday night.
The 40-year-old man was standing outside 200 blocks on North St. Louis Avenue when another man got out of the SUV and opened fire on the victim, according to Chicago police.
He was shot multiple times and tried to flee but collapsed in a nearby field, police said.The man was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
No one was detained.
