36 accused of criminal violations of the Sex Offender Registration Act

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Ill. (KFVS) – 36 people have been charged in Williamson County with felonies for violating the Sex Offender Registration Act.

On July 7, the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office concluded a 10-day sex offender compliance operation, which included full accountability of all registered sex offenders in Williamson County, Illinois. The operation resulted in arrest warrants for 36 people.

According to a release from Sheriff Jeff Diederich, nearly two dozen deputies and detectives have been deployed. They were instructed to conduct site visits to the registered home and workplace addresses of each offender to verify timely and accurate registration.

As a result, arrest warrants for non-compliance were issued for all 36 offenders. The following offenders have been caught and remanded in Williamson County Jail custody:
