2022 Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) Annual Meeting: Bayer to showcase product offerings and announces broadened AI offering in Radiology


PITTSBURGH–()–As international leaders in imaging gather for the 2022 Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) Annual Meeting, Bayer Radiology, a leader in diagnostic imaging, will showcase its portfolio of products and solutions aimed at deal with today’s most pressing problems facing the field of Radiology. Bayer to showcase its next-generation CT technology, MEDRAD Centargo CT Injection System (Centargo) at RSNA (Centargo is 510(k) pending and not available for sale in the US. The latest addition to Bayer’s CT portfolio is designed to drive workflow efficiency with design features that work in conjunction with Bayer’s product portfolio to bring innovative technology to the imaging suite and introduce new technologies to patient setup areas.

Bayer Also Announces Collaboration Agreements With App Developers Quantib, ClariPi, and EXINI Diagnostics to Strategically Expand Offerings on its Calantic Medical Imaging PlatformTM extension Digital solutions. The platform, which was recently launched, provides access to applications, including those enabled by artificial intelligence, for medical imaging. With these new collaboration agreements, Bayer is expanding the options already available for thoracic and neurological diseases on the platform to include tools that aim to facilitate breast and prostate imaging.

Introducing the Calantic App Accelerator ProgramTM extension SPARK

Also, Bayer recently launched CalanticTM extension SPARK, a new accelerator program for medical imaging app developers to further drive innovation in radiology AI. The program will initially focus on North America and Europe and is expected to be expanded to other regions, including Asia-Pacific. Bayer offers a focused program designed to accelerate market readiness for early stage projects and offerings, providing advice ranging from medical, regulatory, reimbursement and market access expertise. Leveraging the burgeoning artificial intelligence start-up ecosystem in medical imaging, Calantic SPARK offers program participants a potential path to commercialization and distribution through Calantic Digital Solutions. Bayer will present the results of the first clinical trial data on an experimental contrast agent. Gadoquatrane is a gadolinium-based contrast agent in phase II development. The study examined the pharmacokinetics, including excretion routes, safety and tolerability of gadoquatrane in healthy volunteers.
