2 masked men try to kidnap woman in Evanston: police


A woman was almost kidnapped by two masked men in the northern suburbs Evanston on Monday.

The incident occurred on the 1200 block of Fowler Avenue at approximately 3:40 p.m

According to police, the woman was walking south on Fowler when she saw a vehicle heading towards her. The vehicle parked across the street and two men got out and approached the victim.


The offenders then grabbed the woman and carried her in their arms, police said. She was able to fight her way out of the men’s grasp and fled on foot to her workplace on the 2400 block of Main Street.

The offenders were described as two men; one wore a gray hoodie, black pants, and a black balaclava. The second was dressed all in black; a black hoodie and a black ski mask. The vehicle they were in was described as a small new gray 4 door vehicle.
