14-year-old boy shot on the Near West Side


A teenage boy was shot and injured Wednesday night on the Near West Side, according to Chicago police.

A 14-year-old boy was shot at by someone in a black sedan as he stood on the 200 block of South Western Avenue at about 10 p.m., police said.

Police said the boy had a gunshot wound in his hand and was taken to Stroger Hospital in good condition.

No arrests have been reported and detectives are investigating.
